Partners' Duties

Registered Building Professionals Duties


  • To prepare the plans for the buildings works and supervise the registered contractors to carry out the buildings works

    To prepare plans for the building works and supervise registered contractors in carry out such building works

  • To prepare plans for Class I Minor Works and supervise prescribed registered contractors in carrying out such minor works

  • To carry out the prescribed inspection and supervision the prescribed repair works for the building

    To carry out the prescribed inspection and supervision of the prescribed repair works for the building

  • To carry out the prescribed inspection and supervision the prescribed repair works for windows

    To carry out the prescribed inspection and supervision of the prescribed repair works for windows

  • To advise the improvement method /offer the alternative solutions for the fire safety measures and supervise the registered contractors to carry out the works

    To advise on fire safety improvement works / alternative measures and supervise registered contractors in carry out the works

  • To carry out the prescribed inspection and supervise the prescribed repair works for windows, contractors of respective registered qualification may carry out the prescribed repair works

    To carry out the prescribed inspection and supervision of the prescribed repair works for windows. Contractors registered for the relevant classes and types or items of minor works in respect of windows may carry out the relevant prescribed repair works

* Depending on the nature / items of works
# If the minor works items are prescribed repair works or any associated demolition works. A RI may assume the role of an AP in respect of such minor works items under the Minor Works Control System (MWCS)
** Except for carry out the prescribed inspection and supervision, if the QP appointed is a registered general building contractor / registered minor works contractor, the QP may also act as the contractor to carry out the repair works, you may visit "Registered Contractors Duties"

 

Registered Contractors Duties

  • To carry out building works in accordance with the approved plans and the related regulations

    To carry out the building works in accordance with the approved plans and the related regulations

  • Responsible for the design and preparation of the plans of Class II and Class III Minor Works and to carry out of minor works in any class

    To design and prepare plans of Class II and Class III Minor Works and to carry out minor works of the relevant classes

  • To carry out the necessary prescribed repair works

  • To carry out the prescribed inspection and supervise the prescribed repair works for windows, contractors of respective registered qualification may carry out the prescribed repair works

    To carry out the prescribed inspection and supervision of the prescribed repair works for windows. Contractors registered for the relevant classes and types or items of minor works in respect of windows may carry out the relevant prescribed repair works

  • To carry out building works for improvement of the fire safety measures

    To carry out building works for the improvement of fire safety

  • Works for provision of or improvement on fire service installations and equipment

    To carry out works for the provision of or improvement on fire service installations and equipment

  • To carry out the specialized works (i.e. demolition, foundation, site formation, ventilation, ground investigation field) in accordance with the approved plans and the related regulations
