“Home Safe Home.Home Sweet Home” Comic Drawing Competition Prize Presentation Ceremony

The “Home Safe Home.Home Sweet Home” Comic Drawing Competition Prize Presentation Ceremony was successfully held on 16 December at the P.L.K. Stanley Ho Sau Nan Primary School, and prizes were presented to winners of each category. The venue is the winner of an architectural award, and we were pleased to have invited an Architect of the Architectural Services Department to lead a guided tour for students on the architectural features of the school. In addition to building safety booths, the spectacular performances by the school handbell team and the B and D Band formed by our colleagues were among the wide array of programmes.

The winning pieces of the Upper Primary School, Junior Secondary School and Senior Secondary School Categories have been transformed into interesting animations. Enjoy the videos by visiting the following websites:

The 25th Anniversary of the Buildings Department - “Building Safety on Board” Board Game Design Competition

The Comic Drawing Competitions organised by the Buildings Department (BD) have been well-received in the past 5 years. Next year marks the 25th anniversary of the Buildings Department. In this connection, BD is organising a board game design competition named “Building Safety on Board”. Participants may enter the competition in the following categories:

Parent-child: to draw on the game board provided (kindergarten students and their parents)

Primary School: to draw on the game board provided or design his/her own game board (P.1 to P.6 students)

Secondary School: to design a board game together with the chesses (S.1 to S.6 students)

There will be a number of awards for each category. To encourage students to incorporate the STEM elements in their designs, there will be a STEM Award for primary & secondary schools. For details, please stay tuned to the BD website.
